ITINERARY
Day 1
Baku

Arrive in Baku, where you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Check-in is available after 15:00.

The rest of the day is free to relax or begin exploring Azerbaijan’s capital at your own pace.

Day 2
Baku Old City, Gobustan Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your full-day sightseeing tour of Baku at 10:00.

Start with the historic Old City, also known as Icheri Sheher, a fascinating UNESCO-listed quarter filled with narrow streets, ancient walls and centuries of history. Walk through the atmospheric lanes and discover some of Baku’s most important landmarks.

See the Palace of the Shirvanshahs from the outside, once the grand residence of the Shirvan rulers. Continue to the studio of artist Ali Shamsi, known for its creative façade and distinctive artistic character. Visit the Museum of Miniature Books, home to a remarkable collection of tiny books from around the world.

Continue to the Maiden Tower, one of Baku’s most iconic monuments and a symbol of the city. As you explore the Old City, you will also pass caravanserais, mosques and historic buildings that reflect Baku’s rich cultural heritage. The streets of this district have also served as filming locations for several well-known Soviet-era films, adding another layer of interest to the visit.

After lunch, travel to Gobustan. En route, stop at the monument to the world’s first oil well and visit the famous Bibi Heybat Mosque. In Gobustan, explore the ancient rock carvings that offer a remarkable glimpse into early human history.

Day 3
Absheron Peninsula, Ateshgah, Yanardag Breakfast

After breakfast, depart at 09:00 for a tour of the Absheron Peninsula.

Visit Ateshgah, the Temple of Fire Worshippers, an open-air museum and historic place of worship associated with ancient fire traditions. Located near Baku, this unique site is known for its natural gas flames and its connection to Zoroastrian heritage.

Continue to Yanardag, the Burning Mountain, where natural flames have burned from the hillside for centuries. This extraordinary site has long been surrounded by legends and reflects the deep connection between Azerbaijan’s landscape, natural gas and ancient fire-worshipping traditions.

The tour offers a fascinating insight into the history, myths and natural phenomena of the Absheron Peninsula.

Day 4
Tbilisi Breakfast

After breakfast, check out from the hotel before 12:00 and transfer to Baku Airport for your flight to Tbilisi.

Please note: the flight from Baku to Tbilisi takes a little over one hour. Air tickets are not included in the tour price and should be booked separately.

Upon arrival in Tbilisi, transfer to your hotel. Check-in is available after 15:00. The rest of the day is free to explore the Georgian capital at your own pace.

You may wish to walk through Tbilisi Old Town, also known as Kala, with its narrow streets, colourful balconies, traditional houses, cafés and historic atmosphere. Suggested places to visit independently include Metekhi Church and Bridge, Abanotubani Sulphur Baths, Narikala Fortress, Tbilisi Botanical Garden, Shardeni Street, Anchiskhati Basilica, the Bridge of Peace, Rezo Gabriadze Theatre, the Mother of Georgia Monument and King Irakli II Street.

Day 5
Tbilisi, Kakheti Wine Region, Sighnaghi Breakfast

After breakfast, depart for Kakheti, Georgia’s famous wine region. Known for its beautiful landscapes, historic villages and ancient wine-making traditions, Kakheti is one of the most important cultural regions in the country.

Visit a traditional Georgian family wine cellar and enjoy an introduction to local wine-making. Learn about Georgian wine culture and taste regional wines produced using traditional methods. You will also have the opportunity to join a bread-baking master class and discover how traditional Georgian bread is prepared.

Continue to the Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe, originally built in the 9th century and one of Georgia’s most important pilgrimage sites. The monastery holds the tomb of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century. From here, enjoy beautiful views over the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains.

Next, visit Sighnaghi, often called the City of Love. This charming hilltop town is known for its defensive walls, 28 towers, cobbled streets and panoramic views over the Alazani Valley. After a walk through the town, enjoy a traditional Georgian dinner with a cooking workshop, where you will learn about local dishes. You may also taste traditional Georgian sweets such as churchkhela and pelamushi.

Day 6
Ananuri, Gudauri, Kazbegi Breakfast

Depart from the hotel between 08:00 and 08:30 for a full-day journey into the Greater Caucasus Mountains.

Travel north along the Georgian Military Highway, one of the most scenic routes in the Caucasus. This historic road connects Tbilisi with the high mountain region and offers spectacular views along the way.

Stop at Zhinvali Reservoir, known for its striking turquoise waters and mountain scenery. Continue to Ananuri Fortress, located near the Aragvi River and Zhinvali Reservoir. The fortress dates back to the 13th century and was once the stronghold of the Dukes of Aragvi.

Continue towards Gudauri, a mountain resort located on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus. Visit the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument, built in 1983 and set against dramatic views of the Devil’s Valley and surrounding mountains. Its large circular structure and colourful tile mural make it one of the most memorable viewpoints on the route.

The highlight of the day is Gergeti Trinity Church, located at 2,170 metres above sea level near the town of Stepantsminda. Set beneath Mount Kazbek, this 14th-century church is one of Georgia’s most iconic landmarks and offers unforgettable mountain views. Return to Tbilisi after the tour.

Day 7
Yerevan Breakfast

After breakfast, transfer to Tbilisi Airport for your flight to Yerevan.

Upon arrival in Yerevan, begin a sightseeing tour of Armenia’s capital, often called the City of the Sun and Light. Yerevan is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities and is known for its lively atmosphere, museums, parks, cafés and cultural landmarks.

Visit Republic Square, the heart of the city, famous for its grand architecture and musical fountains during the warmer months. Continue to the Cascade Complex, a monumental staircase connecting the lower and upper parts of the city. The area is known for its open-air art, sculptures, cafés and impressive views over Yerevan.

Day 8
Khor Virap, Noravank, Areni Winery Breakfast

After breakfast, depart for a full-day tour through some of Armenia’s most scenic and historic sites.

Visit Khor Virap Monastery, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Armenia. The monastery is closely connected with the story of Christianity in Armenia and offers one of the most famous views of Mount Ararat. Located near the Turkish border, Khor Virap is one of the country’s most symbolic landmarks.

Continue to Noravank Monastery, a beautiful 13th-century complex set within a dramatic red-rock gorge. The monastery’s architecture and surrounding cliffs create one of the most striking landscapes in Armenia.

The final stop of the day is Areni Winery, where you will enjoy a wine tasting and learn about the region’s long wine-making traditions. Return to Yerevan for overnight.

Day 9
Yerevan Breakfast

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Yerevan International Airport for your departure flight.
