Marmaris

Welcome to Marmaris! You will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is yours, free to explore this harbour side resort town. Tonight you meet your guide and fellow travelling companions. Overnight Marmaris (D)

Pamukkale, Hierapolis

Today we tour the magnificent white calcium formations of Pamukkale, followed by the ancient city of Hierapolis. Take a dip in the hot springs that were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers before continuing to Kusadasi. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

Ephesus, Kusadasi

Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Overnight Kusadasi (B, L, D)

Pergamum, Troy, Canakkale

This morning we will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before driving along the Aegean coast to the ancient city of Pergamum, where we visit the magnificent Acropolis of Pergamum with its impressive temples and library that made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. We then continue north to tour the legendary city of Troy. Overnight Canakkale (B, L, D)

Gallipoli Battlefields

Relaxed morning to explore the town of Canakkale before an afternoon tour of the WWI battlefields of Gallipoli including Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, Anzac Cove, Johnston's Jolly and Gallipoli Museum. After the tour we continue on to Istanbul. Overnight Istanbul (B, L)

Istanbul Old City

Tour the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the underground Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome. Overnight Istanbul (B, L)

After breakfast, our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
