Welcome to Istanbul You will transferred to your hotel located in the heart of the old city Sultanahmet The remainder of the day is yours free to explore Overnight in Istanbul.

After breakfast drive to the nation's capital Ankara visiting the Ancient Civilization's Museum and the Mausoleum of Turkey's first President Ataturk With Ankara behind us we head for the surreal moonscape of Cappadocia Overnight Cappadocia ( B D )

Thursday

Today we tour the Goreme open-air museum Pasabag and Uchisar castle Photo opportunities are everywhere so have your cameras ready! Tonight don't miss the optional Turkish folklore evening featuring folklore and belly dancers. a night you won't forget! Overnight Cappadocia ( B D )

Friday

Today we visit the beautiful Ilhara Valley and the fascinating Derinkuyu underground city home to early Christians who hid underground from Roman persecution Overnight Cappadocia (B,D)

Saturday

Leaving Cappadocia we head south along an ancient Silk Road for the stunning Mediterranean Coast Along the way you see a Caravansary in Sultanhani and the deep blue lake in Obruk At Turkey's religious Capital Konya we tour the Mevlana Whirling Dervish Museum with its beautiful fluted turquoise dome before continuing to Antalya (B)

Breakfast and Visit the ruins of The Greco Roman city of Perge including the Theatre The Stadium and the Gate Towers leading into a street where chariot ruts can still be seen Then its on to Aspendos to Visit the best preserved Roman Theatre anywhere Afternoon free (B)

Day 8

Monday

Breakfast and Drive to Pamukkale visit roman Hierapolis where we see the ruins enroute to Pamukkale white calcium terraces of Pamukkale Overnight in Pamukkale (B,D)

Day 9

Tuesday

Breakfast visit the temple of Aphrodite and the museum at amazing Aphrodisias before continuing to Kusadasi little stop in old Greek town Sirince Overnight in Kusadasi (B,D)

Day 10

Wednesday

Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus Feel the mystical atmosphere of the city and stadium where chariot and horse races were once held Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey At the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand what determines their value Overnight in Kusadasi ( B D )

Thursday

Leaving Turkey we take a ferry to Samos and depending on ferry schedules we may head straight for Mykonos or spend a day exploring lush-green Samos Overnight Samos or Mykonos ( B)

Friday

Spend the day on the beach or take an optional day trip to the neighbouring island of Delos This Mecca of Ancient Greece is today an island wide open-air museum Overnight Mykonos (B )

Saturday

Revitalize with an early morning swim and wander the charming white-washed narrow alleyways of Mykonos Town Afternoon ferry to Ios Overnight Ios (B)

Sunday

Sluggishly rise from your island induced sleep and head for the famed beaches on Ios Explore the picturesque old chora or head for the beach Overnight Ios (B)

Day 15

Monday

Get the adrenaline pumping at Mylopotas beach with optional water sports before boarding the evening ferry for the dramatic island of Santorini Overnight Santorini (B)

After breakfast we say goodbye to those leaving and continue on to the stunning highlights of mainland Greece (B)
