Our most popular organised tour allows you to visit the major sites in Western Turkey, with loads of free time to get off the beaten track and discover the undiscovered. This tour also provides you with the option of sailing on a Turkish gulet (yacht).

Day 1

Saturday

Welcome to Istanbul where you will be transferred to your hotel located in the heart of the old city, Sultanahmet. The remainder of the day is yours free to explore. Overnight Istanbul.

Day 2

Sunday

Tour the city that spans both Europe and Asia visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the Underground Cistern and the Hippodrome. Group dinner tonight. Overnight Istanbul. (B,D)

Day 3

Monday

Today we visit the WWI Battlefields of Gallipoli including Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, ANZAC Cove, the Nek, Johnston�s Jolly and the Kaba Tepe Gallipoli Museum. Overnight Guzelyali. (B,L,D)

Day 4

Tuesday

Step back in time today as we visit Troy and its famed Trojan Horse, followed by a tour of the magnificent acropolis of Pergamum. Its impressive temples, library and medical facilities made it a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. Overnight Kusadasi. (B,D)

Day 5

Wednesday

Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus. Walk down Marble Road towards the Celsus Library and Grand Theatre. We also visit the Leather goods display. Turkey produces some of the finest leather goods in the world and many are made here before branding in Italy. Overnight Kusadasi. (B,D)

Day 6

Thursday

Tour the magnificent white calcium formations of Pamukkale, followed by the ancient city of Hierapolis. Take a dip in the hot springs that were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers. Overnight Fethiye. (B,L)

Day 7

Friday

A lazy day boat cruise leaving from Fethiye to the 12 Islands. Board the boat for a day you won�t forget. Lunch is served on the boat along the way. In the afternoon sail back to Fethiye. Overnight Fethiye. (B,L)

Day 8

Saturday

Today you have a free day to do whatever you choose. Paraglide, swim, recover, relax or take a diving tour. Overnight Fethiye. (B)

Day 9

Sunday

You have free time this morning. In the afternoon we will visit Karakoy an old Greek village and drive to Antalya. Overnight Antalya. (B)

Day 10

Monday

Begin today with a tour of the ancient ruins of Aspendos, which is known for one of the best preserved theatres of Asia Minor, this impressive theatre is still used today. En-route, we stop at an ancient Silk Road Caravanseray and enjoy the natural beauty of the Tinaztepe sink hole and cave. Visit the wonderful ancient city of Perge where St Paul preached his first sermon, it was one of the biggest ancient Roman cities in Asia Minor. Before arriving in Antalya we visit Kursunlu waterfall. Overnight Antalya. (B)

Day 11

Tuesday

Early departure for Konya, stopping en-route to visit the natural beauty of Tinaztepe sink hole and cave. Once in Konya we visitthe monasteryof the whirling servishes and the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. Drive the afternoon toCappadocia via Sultanhani. This is a fine example of a Seljuk Caravanseri and the largest in Anatolia. Overnight Cappadocia. (B,D)

Day 12

Wednesday

Marvel at the lunar landscape of Cappadocia with a fully guided tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle and more. Tonight, don�t miss the optional traditional Turkish folklore evening! Overnight Cappadocia. (B,D)

Day 13

Thursday

Today we trek through the wildly beautiful Ihlara Valley and explore Derinkuyu Underground City. Overnight Cappadocia. (B,D)

Day 14

Friday

Today we visit the nation�s capital, Ankara, with a tour of the Ancient Civilisation Museum. Overnight Istanbul. (B)

Day 15

Saturday

After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends. (B)
