EMPLOYMENTDo you have common sense, oomph, and boundless energy? Are you spirited, self-motivated, optimistic, young at heart and sociable? Have you ever dreamed of making a positive difference in the lives of thousands of travellers? Do you want to experience the summer of a lifetime? If this is you then you're in luck! We are currently recruiting Fez on-board tour leaders, for the European summer of 2008 in Turkey. Our staff that interact with our clients face to face (could be you) are our most important representatives, therefore, our expectations are high. More so than any experience or qualifications - you need the right frame of mind to succeed in this job.

the training tripBefore the training trip, you'll be supplied with all the details. You'll need to pay a bond of £250 which is fully refundable at the end of the season or when your contract with Fez reasonably terminates. This bond is just to demonstrate to us that you're serious about working the whole season. You will be offered a position with Fez after successful completion of the training trip.
what a tour leader doesA typical day begins with you being ready to leave half an hour before the bus is scheduled to leave, checking your driver is awake and enjoying breakfast with some of the passengers (you do get to sleep in some days).Departure time is usually the most frenzied time of the day for you as you attempt to locate missing passengers. Sometimes clients have slept in, sometimes they've forgotten what time the bus is departing or maybe even ended up in a different bed at the wrong hostel. Throughout the day, you enlighten a bus full of spellbound onlookers about the countryside and towns you're passing through and stopping in for the night. You give spiels about history and modern culture, along with all the best travel tips about where to go, what to see and do, how to get there and how much to pay. When it's not you-vs-the-whole-bus in a question and answer forum, you're generally chatting to different people, perhaps offering your ideas about how best to spend 3 or 4 weeks in Turkey depending on that person's particular interests. As well as looking after the group you have passenger lists to keep in order, expense accounts, accommodation and tour bookings and leading activities such as hiking up canyons! Most of your time, however, is spent mingling, chatting with and getting to know other travellers. Like any job, it can be an arduous task getting up for work most mornings, moreover, you're often moving and living out of a backpack. Unlike any job, however, the things you will see and do and the experiences you'll have will give you one of the best and most rewarding summers ever.
interested? We are currently accepting applications for this position. Please email your CV and photo to Vanessa at Vanessa@Feztravel.com with the subject heading containing 'tour leader application from (your full name)'. Please ensure your CV includes details of passport(s) held and an informal summary about why you want the job and why our customers would rate you as excellent on their feedback forms.
