Athens to Santorini

Early morning departure today for the breathtaking Island of Santorini, where you can soak up the sun and relax on the beach or perhaps explore the picturesque capital, Fira. Overnight Santorini (B)

Santorini

Take an optional boat trip in the world's biggest volcanic crater above sea level. Visit the active volcano, swim in the warm thermal waters and take a therapeutic mud bath. Overnight Santorini (B)

Santorini to Mykonos

Arrive in Mykonos and explore the white-washed town or head for the beach before experiencing the completely outrageous Mykonian nightlife. Overnight Mykonos (B)

Mykonos, Delos

Spend the day on the beach or take an optional day trip to the neighbouring island of Delos. This Mecca of Ancient Greece is today an island wide, open-air museum. Overnight Mykonos (B)

Mykonos, Samos

Your morning is free to explore to old town, before we catch our next ferry heading towards the island of Samos (depending on ferry schedules). Overnight Samos or Mykonos (B)

Samos to Kusadasi

Today, we make our way to Turkey with free time to explore Samos town or Kusadasi (depending on ferry schedules). Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

Ephesus, Kusadasi 

Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand what determines their value. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

Pamukkale, Hierapolis

This morning we will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before heading to the magnificent white calcium formations of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis. Take a dip in the hot springs that were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers. Overnight Marmaris (B, D)

Marmaris

Today you are free to relax and stroll the harbour town of Marmaris or maybe take an optional day trip to the Greek Island of Rhodes. Overnight Marmaris (B, D)

Koycegiz, Kayakoy

This morning we drive towards the picturesque lakeside town of Koycegiz, where we join a day cruise to visit turtle beach and the mud baths. Late afternoon we head to the resort town of Fethiye, visiting the deserted Greek village of Kayakoy on the way. Overnight Fethiye (B)

Fethiye 

Today you have the option to relax on a day cruise around the 12 Islands of Fethiye, go paragliding or maybe chill out on a nearby beach, the choice is yours. Overnight Fethiye (B)

Saklikent, Antalya   

Experience one of Turkey’s highlights today as we trek up Saklikent Gorge, Turkey’s longest and deepest canyon. Saklikent is literally a mountain split down the middle by an earthquake. Overnight Antalya (B)

Tinaz Tepe Cave, Konya, Cappadocia

Early departure for Konya today, stopping en-route to visit the natural beauty of Tinaz Tepe sink hole and cave. In Konya we visit the Mevlana Museum and the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi before continuing onto Cappadocia via Sultanhani Caravanseri, the largest in Anatolia. Overnight Cappadocia (B, D)

Goreme, Uchisar Castle             

Marvel at the lunar landscape of Cappadocia with a fully guided tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle and more. Tonight, don't miss the optional traditional Turkish folklore evening! Overnight Cappadocia (B)

Ihlara Valley, Underground City 

Today we trek through the wildly beautiful Ihlara Valley and explore Derinkuyu underground city. Overnight Cappadocia (B, D)

Ankara

Early morning departure for the nation's capital of Ankara, where we visit Anitkabir, the mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, before returning to Istanbul. (Optional morning flight to Istanbul from Kayseri, Cappadocia) Overnight Istanbul (B)

Istanbul Old City 

Tour the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the underground Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome. Overnight Istanbul (B)

After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends. (B)
