Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul! You will be transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day is yours, free to explore.

Istanbul Old City

Tour the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the underground Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome.

Sumela Monastery, Zigana, Karaca Cave

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Trabzon. After arriving at Trabzon Airport, we begin our trip by visiting the 4th century Sumela Monastery and Altindere National Park. Later, we drive to Zigana Mountain, seeing spectacular views of villages – along the way and while crossing onto the Pontic Mountains. We arrive at Gümüshane to visit Karaca Cave, considered the most beautiful in Turkey for its colours and formations.

Trabzon City Tour, Uzungol

Today we will explore the highlights of Trabzon city; study the extraordinary collection of Byzantine frescoes in the 13th century church of Ayasofya, visit Ataturk's Mansion on Soguksu Hill facing the Black Sea, Trabzon Castle and Sera Lake. On the way to Akçaabat, lunch at a seaside restaurant serving famous Akcaabat Meatball. In the afternoon we drive to Uzungol (long lake). It's a hidden paradise in the Pontic Alps. We hike around the lake and village surrounded by emerald green forests.

Rize, Camlihemsin, Ayder

Today we leave Uzungöl. Enjoy a short stop in Rize - for a panoramic view of the city from Botany Garden, where you can also visit kiwi and tea plantations. We then arrive in the Firtina Valley which takes us onto the Ayder Plateau. Before arriving in Ayder we will see Camlihemsin and take a gentle trek to Goksu Fall the highest and most beautiful in the region.

Findikli, Caglayan Valley, Trabzon

We'll have time to explore that beautiful Alpine Plateau Ayder - traditionally dressed village ladies, thermal spring, waterfalls dropping down from hundreds metres and beautiful plateau houses are going to be interest of you. We drive to Ortan villiage and have a great view of Hemsins' mountain villiages on the side of the Firtina River. We then head for Caglayan Valley in Findikli town to see typical laz houses and panoramic views from the tea plantations. Afterwards we drive back to Trabzon Airport for a homebound flight to Istanbul. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends before been transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
