Today is an arrival day, so without further ado... welcome to Turkey! You will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours free to explore. Overnight Fethiye. (B)
Day 2
Monday
Saklikent, Antalya
Experience one of Turkey’s highlights today as we trek up Saklikent Gorge, Turkey’s longest and deepest canyon. Saklikent is literally a mountain split down the middle by an earthquake. Overnight Antalya (B)
Day 3
Tuesday
Tinaz Tepe Cave, Konya, Cappadocia
Early departure for Konya, stopping en-route to visit the natural beauty of Tinaztepe sink hole and cave. Once in Konya we visit the Mevlana Museum and the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. This afternoon we drive to Cappadocia via Sultanhani, where we see a fine example of a Seljuk Caravanserai and the largest in Anatolia. Overnight Cappadocia (B,D)
Day 4
Wednesday
Goreme, Uchisar Castle
Marvel at the lunar landscape of Cappadocia with a fully guided tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle and more. Tonight, don't miss the optional traditional Turkish folklore evening! Overnight Cappadocia (B)
Day 5
Thursday
Ihlara Valley, Underground City
Today we trek through the wildly beautiful Ihlara Valley and explore Derinkuyu underground city. Overnight Cappadocia (B,D)
Today we visit the nation's capital, Ankara, with a tour of the award winning Anatolian Civilisation's Museum. Overnight Istanbul (B) (Optional morning flight to Istanbul from Kayseri, Cappadocia)
After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends. (B)
