Athens

Welcome to Greece! Check into your hotel at your leisure and the rest of the day is yours, free to explore this ancient city. Tonight you meet your tour leader and fellow travelling companions. Overnight Athens

Athens to Santorini

Early morning departure today for the breathtaking Island of Santorini, where you can soak up the sun and relax on the beach or perhaps explore the picturesque capital, Fira. Overnight Santorini (B)

Santorini

Take an optional boat trip in the world's biggest volcanic crater above sea level. Visit the active volcano, swim in the warm thermal waters and take a therapeutic mud bath. Overnight Santorini (B)

Santorini to Mykonos

Arrive in Mykonos and explore the white-washed town or head for the beach before experiencing the completely outrageous Mykonian nightlife. Overnight Mykonos (B)

Mykonos, Delos

Spend the day on the beach or take an optional day trip to the neighbouring island of Delos. This Mecca of Ancient Greece is today an island wide, open-air museum. Overnight Mykonos (B)

Mykonos, Samos

Your morning is free to explore to old town, before we catch our next ferry heading towards the island of Samos (depending on ferry schedules). Overnight Samos or Mykonos (B)

Samos to Kusadasi

Today, we make our way to Turkey with free time to explore Samos town or Kusadasi (depending on ferry schedules). Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

Ephesus, Kusadasi 

Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand what determines their value. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

Kusadasi

Today is a day for choices! Relax on an Aegean Beach, visit the calcium terraces of Pamukkale or maybe visit the hill side Ottoman-Greek village of Sirince to try their specialty fruit wines. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

Pergamum, Troy, Canakkale   

This morning we will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before driving along the Aegean coast to the ancient city of Pergamum, where we visit the magnificent Acropolis of Pergamum with its impressive temples and library that made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. We then continue north to tour the legendary city of Troy. Overnight Canakkale (B, L, D)

Gallipoli Battlefields 

After breakfast, we visit the WWI Battlefields of Gallipoli including Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, Anzac Cove, Johnston's Jolly and Gallipoli Museum, before returning to Istanbul. Overnight Istanbul (B, L)

Istanbul Old City 

Tour the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the underground Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome. Overnight Istanbul (B)

Istanbul

After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends. (B)
