Monday 21st April
Istanbul old cityAfter breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Underground Cistern and the Hippodrome. Overnight Istanbul. Breakfast. Day 3
Tuesday 22nd April
Golden Horn, PeraDolmabahce Palace, the last residence for Ottoman Sultans, Galata Tower a Genoese construction of 1348, Pera, Suleymaniye Mosque masterpiece of Sinan, the chief architect of the Ottoman Empire, St. Chora Church (Kariye Museum) and Pierre Loti, the best spot to view marvelous Golden Horn. Wednesday 23rd April
Two continents tourSpice Bazaar, an exotic food market and bazaar, Bosphorus Cruise, cruise past the Ottoman palaces, Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, Rumeli Fortress, a historical armament built by Mehmet the Conquerer to control and protect the Bosphorus, Bosphorus Bridge, a unique chance to step from one continent (Europe) to another (Asia) in 2 minutes, Camlica Hill, a panoramic view of Istanbul and the Bosphorus from the highest point in Istanbul. Thursday 24th April
Gallipoli TourDepart for Gallipoli early morning and head towards the World War Battlefields of Gallipoli for a fully guided tour of this now serene site. Visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove and Kaba Tepe Gallipoli Museum. Straight after the tour we head for the site of the dawn service to get a good spot. Tonight, soak up the vibrant atmosphere under the stars waiting for the break of dawn. Overnight at Dawn Service. Day 6
Friday 25th April
ANZAC Day at GallipoliAwake before sunrise to the ANZAC Dawn Service and commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day. Also attend the Australian &/or New Zealand Memorial services. Overnight Ayvalik. Dinner. Day 7
Saturday 26th April
Acropolis of Pergamum, KusadasiToday we head south and on the way we enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent acropolis of the ancient city of Pergamum. Overnight Kusadasi. Breakfast and Dinner. Day 8
Sunday 27th April
EphesusStand in awe at the technology once used in Roman times, with a tour of the ancient city of Ephesus. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the city halls and stadium where chariot and horse races were once held. Turkey produces some of the finest leather goods in the world and after Ephesus we go to a leather goods display. We also visit a carpet village and learn how carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Overnight Kusadasi. Breakfast and Dinner. Day 9
Monday 28th April
Samos, MykonosLeaving Turkey, we take a ferry to Samos and depending on ferry schedules, we may head straight for Mykonos or spend a day exploring lush-green Samos. Overnight Samos or Mykonos C class. Day 10
Tuesday 29th April
MykonosSpend the day on the beach or take an optional day trip to the neighbouring island of Delos. This Mecca of Ancient Greece is today an island wide, open-air museum. Overnight Mykonos C class. Day 11
Wednesday 30th April
MykonosFree day. Overnight Mykonos C class. (depending on ferry schedules) Day 12
Thursday 1st May
SantoriniFree day before boarding the evening ferry for the dramatic island of Santorini. Overnight Santorini C class. Day 13
Friday 2nd May
SantoriniTake an optional boat trip in the world's biggest volcanic crater above sea level. Visit the active volcano, swim in the warm thermal waters and take a therapeutic mud bath. Overnight Santorini C class. Day 14
Saturday 3rd May
Santorini to AthensSoak up the sun on the black sand beaches before we board an afternoon ferry to the mainland. Overnight Athens C class. Day 15
Sunday 4th May
Athens old cityAfter breakfast, we walk to all the sights of Greco- Roman Athens. Stand in awe at the epic Temple of Zeus. See the first Olympic Stadium, the Agora and the mother of all ruins, the Acropolis. Overnight Athens C class.
