7 - Day itinerary
Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, meet your guide and the rest of your group.
Istanbul old city
After breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, the Archeological museum and the Hippodrome. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and today we also have the chance to learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Tonight you get to know your travelling companions a little better and enjoy some Turkish cuisine at your welcome dinner.
Gallipoli Battlefields
Depart for the Gallipoli peninsula early morning and tour this now serene site. Visiting original trenches and tunnels and ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, Johnston's Jolly and The Nek before a short ferry ride across the Dardanelles. Upon arrival at the Canakkale port we visit the minelayer, Nusret, and Cimenlik Castle / Fortress.
Cape Helles Services, Troy
Today we spend the morning at the southern tip of the Gallipoli peninsula at the International Service at the Turkish memorial, Mehmetcik Abide, and then the Commonwealth service at the British memorial. We then head back across the Dardanelles and visit the archaeological ruins of Troy. Your afternoon is free to explore or rest at your hotel prior to an 11 pm departure for ANZAC Cove.
ANZAC Day at Gallipoli
At the ANZAC Dawn Service we will commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day. We also attend the Australian &/or New Zealand Memorial services before returning to our hotel for some well deserved rest.
Istanbul, Bosphorous Cruise
Today we have a late morning departure back to Istanbul. This afternoon you will experience Istanbul with a waterfront view on an afternoon cruise of the Bosphorous.

After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends and are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
During the tour, our resident Australian, Dean Hunter, will give a presentation on ANZAC Day. He will advise on preparation, run through the day itself whilst weaving in a little history.
Dean believes that “the more you know about the day before you go, the greater your appreciation and so enjoyment of the day will be.”
Dean lived in Canakkale, near the Gallipoli battlefields, for 5 years and has lived in Istanbul for the past 11 years. During his time, at Gallipoli, he became a keen Gallipoli enthusiast and during his time in Turkey has become a wealth of knowledge.

Single travellers must pay single supplement. Twin share is not available.

Single travellers must pay single supplement only if the want a cabin to themselves. Otherwise Twin share is available with another single traveller of the same sex.
